Day 2 of keto. I fed my dog kibble and I was like "god that smells good"
Discussion
Dogs deserve raw meat and organs too 😊
Yes she does. Her diet is mostly raw meat with the bones. Chicken and lamb, kangaroo based kibble (smells like cereal more than kangaroo), rotten dead rabbits she finds, freshly shot rabbits, possums from time to time, sheep shit (her choice not mine) and the occasional long blades of grass, dried duck snacks, peanut butter, and tiny bits of (toxic in high quantity) chocolate, maybe a few almonds, cottage cheese from the bottom of the container, yogurt from the bottom of the container.
processed foods are easy to make appetizing.
you basically just need to remove fiber and add sugar, salt, carbs, fats, MSG, some flavoring and maybe a few narcotic-like substances like Cheese or drugs like Caffeine or Cocoa.
science has found the most irresistible foods are the ones that mix fat with carbs - pizza, donuts, potato chips, ice cream etc - they all fall into this category.
what is notable is such foods are almost nonexistent in real world. as most fruits and vegetables lack fat and most animal foods lack carbs.
the few exceptions like nuts are seasonal and are well known to be the foods that break people's diets.
one dude i used to speak to on Twitter was trying to make this observation into a diet but it didn't catch on, and besides pretty much all other diets are in effect already exploiting this. as whether you're on a low fat or low carb diet you're eliminating these Fat+Carb combos.
anyway appetizing foods is how you get fat. bland is what you actually want for weight loss.
basically both low fat and low carb diets when strict enough will cause you to lose weight by eliminating the irresistible ultra-processed fat+carb combo foods.
the reason to prefer low carb to low fat is that low fat diets tend to be devoid of nutrients and chock full of toxins, as well as tend to be based on processed foods since most plants are not edible without cooking ( raw potatoes are poisonous for example ).
on other hand keto/carnivore is only really deficient in Vitamin C - so comparatively a better foundation for an optimal diet.
or you could just eat paleo - but again - without knowledge / understanding any of these diets can fail - for example Paleo diets fail when people begin to eat nuts and honey by the bucket loads.
diets are heuristics at best. there is no substitute for real knowledge.
