I don't think this is correct, but it is fun:

Hypothesis: Great physicists (Steven Hawking, Edward Witten and others) regret the invention of nuclear weapons and so they have seeded the field with misinformation so that physics can't advance any further until there is an advance in human sanity first.

😂

Nothing great about them their poster boys like Einstein for misinformation things like black holes, nuclear weapons, etc. etc.

Despite its glaring flaws, this is why I love Warhammer 40k as a setting.

Humans have advanced technology, have (partially) mastered time and space, and settled most of the galaxy.

But they're still the obedient, neurotic, credulous, intolerant, genocidal, polluting and delusional primates we know and love. And this makes things suck, just like our timeline...

i don't see a problem with nukes

entire races ( native Americans ) have been violently wiped off the face of the earth without them

and nukes represent less than 1% of civilians slaughtered in the 20th century

No one wants to give Variola spp. any credit for doing the heavy lifting, yet flashy fission firecrackers are followed by paparazzi, speculated over by columnists, and dizzily funded by governments...

Strange loop logic
