I suppose the anthropology journals have decided to self-censor because showing bones and "funerary objects" would be "insensitive" and hurt the especially precious feelings of certain tribes who are (or who imagine they are) related to the artifacts under study. Funny how European-descended people never complain about it when ancient European remains are depicted from, say, Pompeii or a thousand other places.
