I don't know how to speak Japanese, or Chinese, although I took chinese calligraphy briefly and it was a bit difficult.

Thats really cool man. Id love to do Japanese calligraphy. Can you show some of your Chinese calligraphy skills?
This is stuff that happenened back in .. oh 2001. They were actually teaching me sumi inking in grade school, too believe it or not. Public school used to be half alright.
So unfortunately no "data" exists therein in reference to the above. but can assure you it was FUN.
These days I do calligraphy with a new old stock set I managed to find, that's about 25 years old, and really enjoy it...
Metallic Inks, with sparkles in them. gold and silver sparkles, some of the inks have a combination of both. they're really beautiful.
I'd love to share, but have to wait a few days to buy a new memory card, because the little tab that toggles the SD card "locked" or unlocked fell on my floor somewhere, and I've not been able to ascertain a safe way to hack the card, so the camera thinks it can write to it. Currently don't have the budget to get another. :)
