I mean it doesn't sound like truly unsolvable. It's just most mainstream platforms only focus on one thing, and since it's possible to post both on Nostr, clients that copy UX of some mainstream platforms don't know what to do with this mix of short notes and long posts. There is no UX practice for that which has become standard yet
