Ok. I know that things cannot appear from nothing but they have to be created by a process of a very long chain of changes which all have a cause. However, given that that chain is not infinite, there must be a first cause, and that first cause of everything is God. The existence of life is another thing that is interesting to me because we know that all systems tend toward disorder and to a state of less energy, which makes life unlikely, and extremely complex forms of life like us even more improbable.

About how I think about Him... I think it's not possible to understand God completely, any more than a Minecraft character can understand the programmer. But I think that as a creator, He loves His creation as we all love what we create. Moreover, I believe that our capacity to create comes from God, and that's especially the case when we create immaterial things that are just the product of expressing our will, as God did with all creation.

God is not just the prime mover but has omnipotence of initial conditions and final result. God exists outside of time.

You are using god as the variable for "we don't know yet". Everyone knew we were the center of the universe, but then we learned more and you've pushed it out further, but its just we don't know.

As to life and entropy, the SUN is the local energy source powering order. Big picture you are probably right, but don't ignore a star in the neighborhood.

What if the cause of things happening is simply directed energy. Energy that in combination with matter and entropy results in creation. Would such energy be aware and proud of any of its creation?

Does the energy have intention?

Is this energy God, or is he rather some form of consciousness? Does the consciousness have energy or does energy have consciousness?

Isnt God simply a label for what we dont understand about nature yet? Can we ever understand it at all?

See I have many questions… Maybe it’s more of a conversation for a long evening rather than nostr posts. But thanks for trying to answer.

I can advice this book as a starting point for some answers, tldr: our visible universe are god his thoughts.
