I have turned off the public auto-thanks. It served it's purpose and had become an annoy-a-tron. From now on all auto-thanks will be DM'd to the sender. #[1] just got the first auto-thanks dm.

What exactly was the purpose of the auto thanks?
It serves two purposes.
1. To thank someone for zapping me.
2. To alert me as to who it was who zapped me. (something not shown in my wallet.)
The third purpose, which I have now turned off, was to have a bit of fun. (Which I did)
