I wonder how one would implement an OAuth-thing via Nostr to realize a "Login with Nostr" to platforms that don't directly interact with the platform but would like to respect a user's existing identity.

No non-FOSS platform will accept that, because #Nostr is too free. You can create multiple accounts, etc.

The reason shithead platforms accept #Google etc. logins, because it's supposedly "trustworthy", as in unfree & it's hard to maintain different accounts, etc.

I know, the #irony is hard to fathom.

'Twas more of a "could it be made" thought - but your point is valid. I might end up making it some day, "because i can" x)

If you have any good maker idea, tell me about it & if I deem it reasonable, we might work on it together.

They can have login with alby or nostr extension?

Mozilla Persona did kind of that back in the day. It was really cool and easy to setup and had a nice UX, you only needed your email *any* email. A great alternative to GitHub, FB, TW login auth. but too good for Mozilla to keep alive.

Mozilla's project graveyard ought to rival Google's eventually.

And that's not a compliment lol
