We can see this with every debate over protocol development that rapidly delves into ugly mud-slinging....
Bitcoin "the protocol" is hard, anarcho-capitalist money. It is in many ways the most perfect and inviolable set of property rights that has ever been developed.
Bitcoin "the open source project", however, is basically anarcho-communist. It's a voluntary collective of workers with no defined rank or hierarchy w/r/t one another, whose only means of dispute resolution is to either discuss or leave. It's "from each according to their ability".
This conflict can lead to some interesting cognitive dissonance.
