The Leauge of Women Voters created the modern public primary debates in the 1970s. They were ignored by the establishment, and then when the establishment realized how influential they were, they took control of them.

Never let the establishment control their own election process. The People should always find ways to bypass establishment systems.

I would love to see a real candidate debate. Instead we get performative sound bites with no real discussion.

Perhaps we could actually choose our candidates.
