It's not clear to me how Twitter could integrate with Nostr and still maintain a business model. There's no contract to be signed, no agreement to be made, no ability to even track impressions or users.

It seems to me that if Twitter integrated with Nostr it would be the last act after declaring bankruptcy and closing the doors forever. All the Twitter users would simply find themselves on nostr and wondering what the hell happened.

Twitter could do two things to generate profit immediately: (1) create two clients, one paid with special features, one free with basic features; and (2) run a paid relay. They would undoubtedly have a large part of the user base at least using their relay because of the network effect. They could also build several micro apps, multiple relays for different purposes, etc. They can even do the zap splits that were introduced in Damus so they get a zap of equal or lesser size for every zap made on their client. Another possibility is paid custom algorithms.

Twitter would essentially become a very customized Nostr client. They'd still have ads and all of their algorithms for content on their relays. I see an ad model targeting their users as viable. I also see paid services viable too, adding additional features, just like they do now. I don't see much changing outside of their underlying technology stack.
