I suppose some of the easy trucking jobs might be automated in the next few years... Such as shuttling a trailer between warehouse A and B, over reasonable highways.

As a driver that hauls live turkey poults, it will be a long while before I need to worry. Too many variables for AI... Gravel and dirt roads, backing to a barn door on uneven terrain in the dark, etc. These ranchers are not going to spend 5-6 figures per barn to install automated docking and maneuvering systems. Not Tyson, nor Butterball, and especially not the smaller farms. 😊

This is going to inevitably lead to better freight rail networks, which are vastly easier to automate. We had it right 100 years ago.
