I have had a lot of interesting animals get in my yard or near my yard: turkeys, pheasants, bald eagles, deer, antelope, fox, mink, etc. All of these make sense since I live in Wyoming, but I just found a peacock in my yard.

What in the world is a peacock doing in my yard? They don't normally live in Wyoming. I doubt one could survive a Wyoming winter. He didn't flare, so I'm not certain, but I think his tail feathers were partially stripped, maybe something got after him.

There are some wild game ranches in Texas that have out of place animals running around like that. Maybe there's something similar near you.

I don't think there are any wild game ranches near me, but someone might have thought it was a good idea to get some peacocks for fun or for insect control.

My guess is that the coyotes or wolves (y'all got wolves?) will soon have a peacock friend.

I haven't heard of wolves near me (they are in the state). We definitely have coyotes. I didn't get a good look at its tail, but it seemed to be mostly the stem of the tail feathers without much feathering. I'm wondering if its tail got attacked. I'd like to get a closer look. I haven't seen it since this morning, but I've heard it numerous times. I hadn't before, so I think it came from a ways away unless someone just got it.
