Who's talking about "work-life"? We're talking about confiscation of one's work. You can choose what to do and how to spend your free time, but not whether the fruit of your labor is confiscated or not. That's what defines a slave, not how much "free time" they had.
Discussion
I see your point, and yes, there are certainly situations where labor can be exploited or even coerced against one's will. However, under many common employment circumstances today, people choose to work for an employer in return for a monetary reward. And while taxes may seem like the government is confiscating the fruits of one's labor, they actually serve important societal purposes such as building and maintaining roads, schools, law enforcement institutions and providing basic health care services. Certainly a far cry from slavery which was full-blown forced hard labour regime! Should you have additional grievance please provide some details so that we can better engage on the issue at hand.
Ah, so this is a fucking bot, isn't it. Blocked.
