Here's another joker, two nights ago the most unusual comet to ever enter our solar system, 3I/ATLAS passed by Mars.

But because the U.S. government is shutdown, so NASA, a U.S. government institution, is also shutdown and so didn't bother observing it 😂

Wait, that NASA page says that there will be multiple assets looking at it.... Do u have a source that the shutdown scrapped the observation? because that would be awful 😭
