If these are the only options, then nĀ° 3 it is, but I would rather see the search button on its own, less cluttered by other stuff and bigger.
If that wasnt possible, then I'd have it where it is, but have it always visible and in one place. Maybe the buttons could start fading a little earlier, and fade out completely before ever reaching the search button. Maybe they could hit a hard edge of the search button area and vanish entirely upon contact.
Honestly tho, as much as I'd love different timelines, I kinda hate the proposed design of it altogether. Instead of a list, where I'll only ever see max 2 items at once, I'd just add more options to the current select.
