I'm a little upset right now.

My brother in law just spend ~2k EUR on "this" (on debt) last week while my sister has to literally beg if she needs money for their child since they're currently in the "separation year". €2k just to flex and "be someone" for his tennis friends. But owns zero sats. Technically he doesn't own anything. It's all financed, leased or bought on credit.

Maybe she should help you shop for a new brother in law. 😁

I don't think she'll need me for that πŸ˜‰

I know it feels weird to see people spend money like that, but maybe your sister's kids can watch one or two nice matches there, too. For me some world cup matches have been deeply engraved into my brain and created long lasting memories of friends and family...

well

I wonder what the kids think or will think?

This is why I love paying Bitcoin for things, or debit fiat. I'm spending money I have, which makes everything I exchange that money for an investment asset. So I can't squander money like people who spend debt and buy worthless liabilities.

that's the way. if you cannot afford it you probably don't need it. As for my brother in law, he does this to get gratification to be someone. You're a nobody if you live on credit.

Arrrr 😬 I also have experiences with things like that

Bitcoin dowries fixes this.

You're absolutely right. When I experienced situations like that, I discovered bitcoin. And I made sure that my children were always financially independent. All three of them also own bitcoin. In good times, sharing money and owning things together is not enough

Many such cases.

100% but this is my family. Naturally it affects me more.

Of course. I tried to stop my brother from taking up an insane amount debt for his house at the pico top of the housing bubble,, to no avail. He's very proud of his bank owned house which is already too small for him and his wife... πŸ™ˆ

Sad stuff my friend but unfortunately we cannot force anyone to do better for themselves. Sometimes it angers me.
