Did you know that ALL patient and medical data is now being stored by one centralised entity in Germany under the (somewhat) new medical data protection act? The company is called Health AG (AG = Aktiengesellschaft = publicly traded company). This is one massive clusterf... and data breach waiting to happen.
Imagine employers, insurances and/or scammers having access to your medical records.
This is another reason why I don't go to doctors. Electronic medical records are trash.
Trust me, as you get older you'll realise that there is no way around it. Once your back is half broken, your thyroids go up or down, your eyes get weaker etc etc.
There is a lot more happening most people aren't aware off. Like everything that's being stored on your health insurance card, electronic prescriptions and all the data shared with your health insurance which will use it to ensure that you receive as little coverage as legally possible (for them) based on those records. It's madness

That sounds bad. Medical data everywhere i think is gonna get very ugly sooner or later. I’ve heard that here in the US hospitals are low hanging fruit for hackers and crippled by ransomware since they run on old, shitty, insecure software and it’s too disruptive to simply overhaul the whole thing. Though i can’t imagine it would be more disruptive than being crippled by ransomware 😬
too much centralisation never worked and never will. Btw they're also shutting down a bunch of hospitals in Germany cause most of them are private AG's or GmbH's as well and if they don't turn profit they simply shut down.
