those thermometers people put on windows are funky. Mine reckons it's 40C/104F.... trust me, it isn't.

In sun or in shade?

In the sun and on the glass oc. people are smart like that.

In our house growing up, we would ask the temp, then ask in or out of the sun. It’s usually a 5-10C positive in the sun

When I measure the temp, I just put the thermometer in direct sunlight on the hood of my car after it’s been sitting a few hours.
