An important revelation, especially for men, who tend not to think about these things as much as women. Tall / average height, glasses / no glasses, grey hair, skin tone, these things all have an effect on one man's perception of the other in ways that can make a material difference for whether you get jobs, make deals, get promotions, & etc.

I personally don't think any of these things are deal-breakers, but you have to go in with a mental model for both "how am I perceived by my society" and "how am I perceived by this person in particular," and work accordingly from that.
