I think a lot of the problem is that a lot of servers on the other side block Nostr. The ones that don't lead to a flood of garbage. That's probably why most 2 way communication doesn't work, and a lot of Nostr users view the bridges as mostly spam.
Usually whenever I see something disgustingly racist, it turns out to be a bridged Mastodon account.
95% of the time this is true all the time. I have both bridges as muted words. Problem solved 😂

Well there are definitely servers that don't federate with Mostr or Momostr... But there are other servers that do, and posts don't show up... So I think there are other issues.
As for spam, yeah there's some, but there's good content too... I've been enjoying nostr:npub1fdrpydz4n2dpgpy5xhsa6rjg8ytggn82mt0addw6sf93272nhhnqsjlvhs for instance
