Having grown up on Star Trek, I guess I'm still kinda optimistic that something like this is possible... But to take each part of this:
"violence" yes, is always going to happen... It's such a broadly defined term that it's hard to imagine a world without that.
"War," as we understand it, I genuinely think might become a thing of the past as we move into a post-State world.
"Corruption", again as we currently think about it, is almost universally a product of States having too much power and their agents in turn misusing said powers.
So I guess in summary I do think something like "world peace" is possible, but in a Post-(Mega)State world. Which we may very well see in our lifetime.
