HA OS uses containers for the addons, which is what I was referring to. I would put HA in a dedicated machine with its own hardware. It’s a system that is very demanding once you start using it heavily.

I get that, but my plan would be do build a beefy machine with proxmox on it, with a VM for ha and a VM for startos.
I guess I'm looking at the add ons and trying to figure out what the point is if you're running multiple servers.
I agree in part. I think the one-click install and HA integration is compelling, but for Node Red and other heavy addons I’d definitely keep them on separate server to ensure they remain performant. Node Red is notorious for failing to execute flows under heavy loads.
