EU is reforming currency and economy all the time. War or no war. They did it before and they will continue to do it no matter if there is war or not. One has nothing to do with other.

As far as Ukraine war goes, EU will suffer way more if Russia wins, so it's natural for EU to do whatever it can to help Ukraine stop Russian invasion. It's like when you have connected houses with your neighbor and fire starts in his part. If you do nothing, that fire will come to you and than you have much bigger problem than "neighbors house that is on fire".
