A pardon doesn't mean no investigation. Uncovering the corruption is wayyyyy more important than having some tragic addict sit in a cage.

Investigations are much less likely if charges can’t be filed.

that is definitely typically true, but this is such an atypical situation I am not sure it applies. Besides, if the influence peddling scheme is confirmed, there are more people to charge than just Hunter.

Odd that he didn't just pardon him for the convicted crimes... but ANY possible crime between 2014(Burisma) to now... This alone shows there is far more being covered up... Otherwise he wouldn't pardon him for something he was never convicted of.
