Yeah, you should only need a money transmitter license if your transmitting permissioned fiat.
Permissionless money need not apply.
But this doesn't stop them from trying. They'll make an example out of the low hanging fruit to make us scared, but that's all they're capable of because their power doesn't extend where their permission is invalid.
Slippery slope there. Taro means stablecoins can be transmitted over LN nodes. To what degree they’re permissioned…🤷‍♂️
Those stablecoins are permissioned by the issuers just like dollars are permissioned by the Fed. And if the issuers of those stablecoins transmit dollars on behalf of their users, they're under the purview of the Fed, who can restrict the usage of those dollars.
The entire point of Bitcoin is not to use fiat, so issuers of dollar stablecoins on Bitcoin are bound to be captured and brought under the Fed's control, just like Tether, which complies with government sanctions despite claiming to be decentralized.
Stabelcoins also don't matter. All that matters is that money reigns the world and he who controls the money controls the crowd. That's what this is all about. Remaining in control.
There is no slippery slope. there is rigged legacy finance enslaving us and then there is Bitcoin and everything that comes with it.
