At the moment I’m mostly just experimenting with some of the different devices to see how they work. There are a few of us who have deployed some Meshtastic nodes around the city where I live and we are trying to get some good coverage. Once we have coverage then I hope to look some more at some of the other projects that use Meshtastic.

Meshstatic allows you to communicate with others in the mesh network right? Like your own intranet?
Yes although it is based on LoRa radios which is long range but low speed so is mostly useful for text based communication. I believe there is a project to send Bitcoin transactions across it though and there is a project to bridge to Nostr but I haven’t looked into these too much yet.
