Ok this one will be interesting! 🚨🚨🚨 I still try to find out some details, but till now this is what I know:

The Hungarian IRS managed to break into multiple Hardware wallets (on-scene in a van !!!). They managed to get (without a PIN !!!) $1,161,000 USD worth of "crypto" which were multiple types of "crypto".

There's a Hungarian tv show where officials are telling this exact story, but without the makers of the wallets (for proof I can link it, but it is in Hungarian language). Now my "contact" knows nothing about "crypto", but based on what "he or she" described these were the two most well known older types of wallets (it makes sense because locally those can be easily bought). I try to find out some more facts, but for me it sounds as a fuckin' backdoor use because entering into hardware wallets without a PIN in a van it's some mind-blowing thing.

If I can find out the exact models I will post it, but till then only speculation remains. Stay safe and watch for your corn! πŸ€™ #crypto #Bitcoin

Link pls

Thanks. They might just be lying about not beating the PIN out of them, though.

That's what my contact confirmed that it was done without any communication or harm they managed to get the funds from the wallets. Important information that on-scene without any lab stuff.

Almost every wallet can be hacked without the pin. If you're not using a bip39 high entropy passphrase. You're probably not safe on any wallet.

And if your wallet has a secure element you're probably not safe even with a bit 39 high entropy passphrase..πŸ˜†πŸ˜‚πŸ€πŸ˜Š

Yes, link please. This doesn’t seem possible.

Now I see it was already linked, sorry

Needs waaaaay more details and sourcing
