i'm not sure how right I am about this prediction it might just be optimism lol. More pessimistically, I'm not sure there's any turning back and if social media is rejected, it's possible whatever replaces it will be even worse.

Imagine a nostalgia industry of the future looking back on social media as lesser evil.
