I went through this exact same thought process. If SHTF, where do I take the gold? It’s not getting on a plane and I’m not crossing any borders without it being taxed or seized. The answer seems to lead back to bitcoin every time.

Each asset has its own strengths and weaknesses, so one may be better than another only in certain scenarios. Bitcoin makes the most sense for most scenarios
