Modify it is from my point of view not possible without pushing a deletion event and posting a new event. You can keep engagements by adding a reference/linking scheme ( referencing the old event id in the e tag for example)

So this means,.. Correction/Modify/Edit a note, even it is for a limited time period after writing, is the next opportunity in user-friendliness, (and probably a nostr-tempbuffer-procedure that can be used for all editors)
This logic/feature -then- must be either supported by every relay or will be limited only on a few relays.
Since relays are free to handle it their way it depends to which relay you push the event.
Same like it's right now with deletion events. Some support some not.
