The ultimate irony is how America drapes all of its actions as "protective" be that of democracy or against the treat of terrorism or some other veiled threat.

Then, here in China, these sorts of limitations of activities are well known and accepted by the populace. Rightly or wrongly, it is the acceptance of both legal rules and social norms.

What is NOT the case in China, however, is any sort of false narrative. What continues to surprise me (an it shouldn't) is just how gullible the populace remains that they somehow have freedom of speech.
