Privacy is a basic human right. This is also unacceptable for nation states. Take some EU initiatives:

CBDC/ removal of cash

Digital ID

Attack on encrypted messaging and VPNs

KYC/ AML

Internet access verification

The state wants to know what you do or are interested in, what you think about, what you want to spend your money for, what you support, where you are, who do you meet or contact. If you want to hide behind a nym, vpn/ tor you are a threat. Ruling parties change but they all agree to the common approach - peasants cannot have any privacy.

I really respect all of you guys here on Nostr posting under your real names but I also worry that you make of yourselves obvious targets. Day may come when someone comes to your house and ask either for what you have written a time ago or ask for your money. The only real money.

Lay low. Stay anonymous. Act as privately as you can. Your task is to deliver the money through time and space for your kids or grandkids. I hope they will live in a free world and make good use of it.
