I like the idea that my notes will eventually disappear off of nostr if I don't personally back them up. This is pretty close to reality. Some of the dumb stuff I have said I don't remember. Beliefs I've held I've outgrown, and would be hard pressed to recall them.

(potentially, there might be some archival service out there that is just collecting notes)
