Who here started their Bitcoin journey with shitcoins?

Myself, I started with Bitcoin, but did not do my research. I was seeing the gains all the shitcoins were having, so I sold my BTC and went in on about 5 shitcoins. After trading for awhile and losing, I finally put in the effort and did my research. Happy to say I am orange pilled. BTC only! 🧡

On a positive note, I had a lot of short term capital losses to deduct. 🤣

2017 is a loooong time ago. I had my fair share of IOTA, HOT,... and all the others. Altcoins are great for gambling if you know what you are doing but it has nothing to do with the mission of Bitcoin, nothing comes close.

I agree, it took me awhile to learn that. The value those struggles have provided and will to continue to provide will be well worth it.

I discovered crypto in 2021, and at first would say I was an eth "maxi"..

Bitcoin as an actual currency was kind of a foreign concept (deflating monetary supply?) It was alot to wrap your head around... eth and defi were less a revolution and more an evolution of the fiat systems. They made alot more sense to me where btc didn't.

Took me a year or so to re-wire, see how the revolution could work, and decide that's what I really wanted.

Very well said. We’re all infected with the fiat virus sometime in our life and it is very difficult to re-wire how we see money.

Bitcoin led me to monero

Everyone dabbled with shitcoins at some point
