Apple made Damus remove the zap feature from posts unfortunately. I see Zapple Pay might be a workaround but I haven't played around with it yet.

In damus you can zap someone directly only by going to their profile pic and hitting the lightning button

Apple is pretty anti freedom. Right now I love Amethyst on Android. iOS is locked down and they make downloading apps on your own hard meaning they get to dictate to you everything that is allowed and not allowed on an iPhone which is pretty wild after people paying $1,000 for it.
