My experience with red‑light therapy is that I got worse before I got better, but of course I don’t know whether that was caused by the red‑light therapy itself. I am using flexbeam from https://recharge.health/

I tried it for a hurt lower back and got dramatically worse. So I'd say it has an effect, but maybe not the one you want. I later learned that you should start with very short sessions, like 5 minutes, but I'm leery of the whole thing now and think 0 minutes is about right.
Just traditional, incandescent, fire place, infrared sauna, and starting to use infrared bulb.
