I am also checking out farcaster and Bluesky for writing community people. I’ve had some luck there, but both are private invite based apps right now, so I am hoping when they go public it’ll be more common to see more writing community members on those and hopefully by then they’ll also be here.
I write fiction usually short stories, as far as like type it’s usually whatever story I wanna read and can’t find out there told the way I want it to be told lol but it’s usually character driven instead of plot so literary is a good spot to start for what it is lol
As far as reading, I’ll read anything that catches my interest. I like reading fiction mostly anything like short stories, novels, poems, anything that winds up being a fun/enjoyable story.

You’ll find your people. :) wandering.shop is for writers over on Mastodon if that’s your kind of thing, but I think it’s invite only as well. Short stories are hectic, they seem to have their own communities!

Oh that’s awesome I’m not on mastodon but I’m on Bluesky and Warpcast/farcaster so I’m hoping I will find them somewhere in time lol and yeah, short stories really do have a lot of sub groups I’m not really sure why lol

Thank you, sometimes it feels like I’m making no progress, but there’s something nice about plugging the cumulative wip word count into nostr on Sundays, even if there’s no one around to see (maybe because of that, permanently etching my tiny goals into the void)
