He was talking more about how a generalised "Followoing" feed becomes more and more general and raises the barrier to post for most. A barrier they don't have in chat groups around topics, types of people, locations, events, ....

Non-dense UI's make me angry and frustrated btw, so luckily we can all find the apps that bring out our best 😉
