This is a very important systematic review of thr literature. To sum up - saturated fatty acids do NOT cause heart disease, and in some cases don't even increase LDL; replacement of satturated with polyunsarurated fatty acids (oils) doesn't reduce cardiovascular risk, despite lowering LDL.
