It’s part of the Worldcoin project. The orb is used to scan your eyeballs and create a unique global ID for you to verify you are human and not a bot. Once your identity is verified you can use the Worldcoin shitcoin. It sounds so ridiculous to even type any of that, but it’s somehow real.
😲Sorry, one second while I pick my jaw off the floor… I heard about worldcoin and of course Sam Altman but I had NO idea they were starting retinal scanning. Scary stuff. Time to put on the shades. 😎
It’s batshit crazy stuff. The letter from the cofounders on their website includes this: “Worldcoin is an attempt at global scale alignment.” Absolute insanity.
