That was a few months ago when the northern lights were visible down where I am (just south of Washington DC, so it's rare). Everybody was posting their pictures, but I got nothing but clouds until then.

Don't you think it's strange that the northern lights, once only visible in the far north hemisphere are now showing up much further south? I'm suspicious 🤔
It was caused by a solar storm, I think. It doesn't happen a lot, but it happens. Just be happy the flare that caused it didn't hit the earth directly. I seem to recall it being a doozy.
