Something I learned from planting garlic is that you get back, on average, 5 times what you plant. Our most recent harvest was pretty nice for what I planted. More going in the ground by Nov 1st, hoping to harvest 30 pounds by August. ๐ค๐ป

wow nice
Nice!
You plant them in November, they take 10 months to grow?
The best garlic takes time ๐ค๐ป During the process you can harvest the green tops and chop them up like you would a green onion and itโs just like a clove of garlic. Ever leaf that comes up is another protective layer around the bulb. Iโll see if I can dig up the before and after of the garlic plot.

That's cool. What are you planning to do with those?
Turn them into salsa along with our tomato and pepper harvests ๐ค๐ป And sometimes eat raw or pickled because I love garlic. ๐ง
Any growing tips? We are about to plant our first cloves of garlic in the next few days.
Partial sun, rich soil, well draining.
Do they like water each day? A good soaking and the let it dry out between waterings?
