If I had gotten the ones I wanted at the time, each time I would have caught a glimpse of those tattoos today, I would have scoffed at that past person. "Peh, what were you thinking?!"

I cannot imagine scoffing at myself for getting one like that, but this is not a design I would have gotten in the first place. Does it make any sense to you? I am confused myself.
