github.io でホストしてるサイトはいくらでもあるしむしろ安心感ある

It's more from a user perspective I think

Because GitHub.io looks a bit weird to normal people but .app or .social or something like that is okay

I think normal people doesn't mind domain.

I think they do -- mainly when sharing

Also, for recall purposes, it's useful - everytime I want to tag rabbit website, I go to my browser & copy link. For Nostter now, I just type the url

They don't input (even know) URL.
