I find the hip hop guys / turntablist prefer serato, while the techno guys prefer traktor?
I used both… there used to be a bigger difference in the programs but nowadays they are very similar. Traktor was able to do more effects and transforming songs like techno guys like. Serato was the more basic scratch and play program, but they serato has basically caught up to traktor now. I switched over because serato was more readily available whenever I did events. Both good programs, but I prefer serato now.
