I think there should be a ₿ pegged offline currency. It is easier to tie it to Bitcoin because ₿, unlike gold, is easier to transact and thus easy to verify how much of it is needed. The dollar pegged by gold had no worth once people couldnt change it for gold anymore, They cannot do that with ₿
