They are a lot of maintenance. Lots of cleaning out of the substrate in the terrarium which means completely emptying it to clean completely. We raised our own variety of cock roaches to feed them as well. We did that because the crickets we would otherwise have to buy was a lot of time, energy and money to keep up with. They are fun pets to have.

Depends on beardie my past one was high maintenance. Pickles here isn’t as it all depends on what one has in the cage. I don’t use the felt anymore as I’m pretty ocd with cleanliness. Paper towel works amazingly for him. Some can be particular with what’s in the bottom of the cage . Pickles is also a special one as he has bowel issues and 80% of the time will only poop when I bath him in his special beardie bath pan. 😂

He’s worth it tho, beardies have the companionship compared to dogs and their owner.
