Murphy struck again today on the homestead…. Meat bird chicks arrived. Lost one in transit and then nine more after we got them home. They all climbed in the waterer and got wet then the cold temps got them down. Had to run to town and get more heat lamps.
Then the winds picked up and it started snowing and we now have a power outage!! Thankfully we have the backup generator and were able to get it fired up and powered everything up.
42 survivors are doing good now.
