Doctors need to sustain as well and if the mandatory insurance doesn't cover patient costs oc they give other people, with better coverage priority. It's not the doctors, it's the lack of coverage you receive on a mandatory health insurance you HAVE to pay.

I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for family reasons but I'm getting to the point where I'll pack up my things and go back to Spain. Over there I pay €50 SS and another €50 for additional insurance I could have done all my dentals for a couple of grant already instead of dumping it into the mandatory health insurance which doesn't cover anything I need.
And jail if you don't have any?
Not jail but you'll get fined with a back-payment. They even tried to ask me where I was insured the last 15 years when I came back to Germany and where I worked and what not. I replied with none of your business and if you want to know if I paid social security in Spain send a request over the EU network to Spanish SS.
I should apply for social (Bürgergeld) and let the state pay the insurance. Quite frankly, in August I've been here for two years and so far NONE of my health issues have been properly addressed. Not the back, not skin issue, and certainly not dental work.
